Final Round *PREVIEW*

Since ya’ll are such great followers I thought I’d post a preview of a beat im working on. I’m learning new software so this is very rough. I’ve actually already changed the bass line and tempo but anyway go check me out. I have more to add but I just made this page today so bare with me. Enjoy and let me know what you think! Constructive criticism is always welcome

Vote for Kanye West.
He’s already in 3rd place - that makes me content enough. Considering all the other GREAT artists in the category. If you really want to go crazy vote 1 star for everyone and 10 star for him to lower everyone else’s’ average, and raise his. I don’t think that’s quite necessary though, because there are many deserving artists on that list. Just after the performance he did at Coachella I think he’s more than deserving to be (At least) in the top 5.

I don’t know how I feel about this. I understand that there are many people who want Ye to be recognized. But I am reading this ‘pop ACT’ literally. I don’t want Kanye to be considered pop, nor an act. The thing that has had me STUCK on Ye since BEFORE through the wire is the fact that this is not an ACT. He is who he is. How he was around the time 808’s came out is who he was at the time. What shaped him were the events that took place in his life, like the passing of his mother. And MBTDF shows the growth from a year or so ago. I completely understand the plethora of amaaaazing artists on this list; Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, Bob Marley - but I don’t see these artists as “acts”. Their music is a direct portrayal of who they are. Kanye’s music, especially MBTDF, is a work of art within itself. I love the love he is getting even being on this list of artists from past decades, but just the word ‘act’ really eats at me and I don’t think I would feel right as the loyal fan I am, voting for him as the greatest pop ACT. I’m sorry, I just can’t……
